It is more than a club. Many live acts played there such as Siouxsie & The Banshees, Ministry, Bjork, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Grace Jones, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure and many many more.

I like some of your suggestions. But I would imagine them being used at other types of establishments.

TicTacToe's would be a honky-tonk or dance hall that plays country music where you could do the do-si-do while square dancing.

Sharp's ("♯'s") would make a great jazz club.

Pounds would be a topless bar or a strip club.
