### What would Orwell's book be called today?
Nineteen Eighty-Four was published in June of 1949. Had it been published today it might be titled "2060”. Why he decided on a date thirty-five years in the future I do not know, and perhaps it would read much the same as it does now. Or maybe, because truth is stranger than fiction it would look more like...
Dr. Zhang Qifeng, of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and the founder of Kaiwa Technology based in Guangzhou, China, plans to go into production next year with robot surrogates that effectively replace and obsolete human females for the bargain basement sticker price of only $13,900.
According to the Korean business journal
Chosun.com, who interviewed Dr. Zhang,
"The key to the pregnancy robot is the "artificial womb" technology, where the fetus grows inside the artificial womb filled with artificial amniotic fluid and receives nutrients through a hose." Presumably, you merely plug your discount GirlBot into a Tesla charger and
Voila! 9 months later you're the proud father of a bouncing newborn baby!
New age feminism has achieved what the ultimate liberating goal of the movement has been striving for over the last decade of madness, Freeing up women in the first world to live an existence without spouses, pursuing fulfilling career paths as financially successful, barren professionals well beyond menopause in female only communities, domiciled with plenty of domestic companion cats.
This noteworthy breakthrough was, of course, achieved by a man, and most of these beneficial commercial aspects are transitory as well, since Artificial Intelligence will soon remove the need for women in the types of jobs they currently fill in the workplace - statistically speaking, they build nothing, create nothing, and very few are suited or even willing to engage in the vocations where males of the species actually improve and maintain industrial infrastructure sectors.
According to Dr. Zhang:
"The artificial womb technology is already in a mature stage, and now it needs to be implanted in the robot's abdomen so that a real person and the robot can interact to achieve pregnancy, allowing the fetus to grow inside."
Considering that a single family home without the presence of a father is overwhelmingly cited as the principle reason for troubled youths growing up in society, this technology solves those problems for the majority of families in the modern world.
There will still be a need to maintain a stable of ova harvesting laboratories, but these are negligible costs incurred since human eggs can be cryogenically stored for generations.
On the domestic scene, it isn't expected that prostitution farms will be a significant percentage of service related occupations for females, also due to rapid advancements in the tech sector where robotics, LLM, and Deep Learning (no pun intended) improvements are accelerating logarithmically. In fact, robot nannies and Stepford Wives are technologically improving to the point where the commercial viability of such products are expected to arrive in retail marketplaces over the next five years.
In the meantime, female humans can be selectively produced and birthed as needed to replace existing stock and, of course, farmed for their eggs - millions of which are produced by each female and ready for harvesting at puberty.
This entire societal transformation should be complete within the next two decades, as the pool of existing viable women age out, which has left experts grappling with one lingering, inconvenient problem - what to do with all of those cats?

The waiters were turning back to their work. One of them approached with the gin bottle. Winston, sitting in a blissful dream, paid no attention as his glass was filled up. He was not running or cheering any longer. He was back in the Ministry of Love, with everything forgiven, his soul white as snow. He was in the public dock, confessing everything, implicating everybody. He was walking down the white-tiled corridor, with the feeling of walking in sunlight, and an armed guard at his back. The longhoped-for bullet was entering his brain.
