Some people are concerned over whether there will be elections in 2028.
There most likely will be elections, unless someone suspends the U.S. Constitution.
If that happens, it would probably result in a civil war, just like it did when Santa Anna suspended the Mexican Constitution of 1824 and half the Mexican states openly rebelled, 1/3 of the states declared independence, and two states successfully left and became independent countries for awhile.
Considering something like that would hinder Trump's ability to make money, I doubt he would do something like that. He may do other stuff, but suspending the Constitution wouldn't go over well, for a variety of reasons.
