Well, we survived the Hurricane. Some tree branches down and we're still without power, but overall things aren't too bad. We have a huge mess to clean up and some repairs but it could have been worse. Our neighbors seems to be doing okay too. So that's good.

Well, the county finally came and picked up some of the debris, but not all of it. Hopefully they will be back for the rest soon. We got the most urgent repairs done, but there is still a lot of additional repairs that still need to be made. Finding available people to work on the repairs is hard since there is so much demand due to the damage from the hurricane. But we are making progress.

The county finally came and picked up the rest of the debris Monday. It looks like it nearly killed all of the grass underneath the pile of branches and debris. Hopefully that grows back, otherwise I'll have to reseed it. But I am glad they finally came. It was becoming a fire hazard. A pile of dried branches, leaves, and other debris is not something you want in front of your house for long.

It's really nice that the county came and picked up the debris. Otherwise we would have had to pay to get it hauled away, and that would be expensive. So, even though it took awhile, I am still grateful. I suppose that is our property taxes at work.
