About a month ago, I created a poll asking about how we should fund our new fediverse servers. Most people selected donations and crowd funding. We decided to try that method of funding.

Our first fediverse server will be loves.tech. We will then launch mostly.social and infinity.cafe, based on interest in this poll. This means you can reserve a name like scott@loves.tech for yourself.

We will be using Hubzilla with Neuhub themes and custom addons, which will give you a Facebook-style interface, although less cluttered and no ads. Code used to build the sites, including custom mods, will always be available in the Federated Works repositories under the MIT license.

We would like to officially launch our Loves.Tech fediverse server soon (i.e. open to new members), but we need some funds to help us launch solidly.

If you would like to support our server, and support the development of open source fediverse software, please consider donating.

Another way to support us is to purchase Managed Hubzilla or Custom Website Design. We can actually create a custom website on top of Hubzilla, with integrated decentralized social media and discussion groups. If you are interested in that, let me know.

Any support or boosts are appreciated.

Hint: You should add the hashtags #Hubzilla and #Fediverse to your next announcement so that folks on ActivityPub-based microblogging projects are more likely to find them, too. At least these two.

And maybe post a shorter post in about a week or so. Otherwise people on microblogging apps will be TLDR;
